Two tealight holders carved from warm sandstone into smooth stacking pebble forms — the amber tones of sandstone catch candlelight in a way few other materials match.
Sandstone sits between the pale cool of limestone and the near-black of lava stone — warm amber and ochre tones that hold and return light in a way particular to this material. As tealight holders, it works beautifully: the candlelight warms the stone colour and fills the surrounding area with a gentle, earthy glow.
The stacked pebble form lifts apart at the top to reveal the tealight chamber, keeping the surface uninterrupted. The organic shaping means no two pieces will be exactly alike in their specific texture and colour gradation.
