The Kleo Chair uses the range’s characteristic mixed boatwood construction — layers of paint from previous marine use building up across the seat surface, each layer a different colour from the last — combined with a perforated back panel that reduces the visual weight of the chair and adds a decorative detail to the structure.
The perforated back is both practical (it lightens the chair and allows air to circulate) and characterful (the pattern of perforations creates a visual texture that references both folk craft and industrial design simultaneously). The mixed wood seat carries the colourful boatwood layering the Kleo range is known for.
